Technical housecleaning and a new video

Our goal with Up Late is to have a good time and while hopefully that comes across, the way we film is more than clumsy due to limited resources. For episode one, Allie Palmer was running a hand held camera, while a second camera remained stationary, and my iPod filmed the audience. This, I believe, will be the structure of filming for a long time.  So while the style may not be as visually stunning as say, that of a Carson Daly, we think that the content will make up for it.  The plan is to film a new episode every Tuesday, which will be aired the following week on Wednesday.

I know that was a clumsy sentence, try to keep up. SO, due to this week-long gap, we are forced to get creative with our monologues. For example: we filmed episode one on Tuesday, January 25th. If we were to air that monologue on February 2nd, all the news items would be a week late and therefore completely irrelevant. For that reason, each episode will air with a more recently filmed monologue.  Because of this splicing you may have to roll with minor discrepancies in outfit, Kristen's hair color or my aforementioned hair density. Confused?  So am I. Deal with it.

In a nutshell: the most recently aired episode will have the most recently filmed monologue. The monologue just has to be fresh, you know?

All this essentially leaves the monologue we filmed last week in limbo, so I'm posting a cut of it here as a taste of what the show will be like.  Consider it a prototype.  Enjoy! And look forward to more behind the scenes footage today and tomorrow, leading up to Wednesday's premiere!

Again I remind you, email us at UpLateWithWillRogers@gmail.com with any ideas, jokes, sketch ideas and suggestions that you have, and we'll absolutely include them!

I'm looking forward to Wednesday, and I hope you are too!
